C'mon Justin no super car here bro! :)

Finalized some things today at g88 and mick will be working his wand over it for the next couple of days in anticipation of tune on Wednesday or Thursday (unknown due to backlog of work for insight)

Installed my wideband today - ended up putting the gauge in the drivers side air vent - took out the fins and modified it / cleaned it up so it looks almost factory spec

My glovebox has about 25 wires coming into it now though lol. Ebc, defi controller, hks ezy writer data cable, wideband serial port cable.

Ceramic coating will be done by Tuesday. Once all parts are back Its really only little things left to do (basically put the turbo, uppipe, dump pipe, intercooler piping etc back on), oil and water lines for turbo, hook up the new turbo coolant reservoir, install fuel pump and that's pretty much it...

I need to flash a base tune onto the ecu to allow it to start with the id2000 injectors. I'm a little concerned about the battery not being charged enough during reflash (and this could potentialy brick the ecu) - I can't start the motor and charge it up because it won't run without the base tune in there. Any ideas how I can flash the tune safely?

Mick

Don't think mick has one - and I would only do this to charge the battery up before I put it in the car, not while flashing as I don't like the idea of running alternating and direct current at the same time

Yeah so just charge it up with a battery charger before hand? I have had to use one on my car a few times due to lack of driving for long periods. They are fairly cheap.

Yeah might even get mick to connect a new battery up while I flash the new tune and then put my one back in when I crank it over

Can't wait to hear the sound of this motor with the heads/ cams / new manifold combo :)

I'd charge the battery and use a booster pack or second battery and jumper leads if your worried

Jumper leads for sure

Remember that injector latency scaling adds fuel with poor battery voltage, makes it harder tuning closed loop AFR's and spool AFR's with a bad or poor condition battery :)

It was fun threading that cable through your firewall.......

good move with mounting it in the vent

Waiting to see what this looks like to decide on my gauge. Mick did you go with the digital gauge or the analogue one?

Yeh I was going to get the blue digital one...but then I saw the analogue one and think it would suit my current set-up well enough! We'll see...

No longer driving down this weekend but I might be down a few weeks later

I'm hopeful of it being ready by Thursday

First post updated with new parts etc

Getting real itchy now - tune has been rebooked for 10th / 11th April.

I've also just decided to vinyl wrap the roof in gloss black ala m3 style (like starrn)

Also going to get my steering wheel, handbrake boot, centre console lid and rear seats restitched in red to match my jdm spec c recaro seats

And that will be it for mods pretty much (apart from the auto being built up)
