Although this is diluted by the swept dynamic compression from the quad avcs overlap as compared to dual avcs on the 2.5.

Speaking to Danny and Phil Lowe they both said in separate conversions I should run compression ratio of about 9:0 / 9:1 for my build....9:5 would be pushing it out there I guess?
This would make it still safe to run pump fuel with moderate boost without introducing detention or ping? with E85 it doesn't really matter to certain a extent...
I also found out from Phil Lowe that my ATP GTX3071r has a custom rear housing and not a WRX/STI housing which I thought all this time? good to know info![]()
I asked about going bigger in turbo size? but he suggested it would be perfect down low / spool and power to be made as it's not a big A/R and will work with the comp ratio planned...while keeping boost target levels at around 20-25 psi ...
Remembering my car is a street car....and not a track / drag car....I want it to be drivable in all road conditions.....and not insane only on mid - top end...

At the time was I working about 150km out of Sydney in Lithgow and used to follow an old timer in an RS through Bells line of RD……… I managed to catch the owner at a servo once and he showed me the car and what was underneath, 350 000km plus on the clock and a lazy 220+kw atw with are few suspension tweaks and this car was hard to catch both in a straight line and in the bends. He told me to speak to Phil it I ever intended on getting a soobi….. at the time I was driving a worked VZ SS.
Justin, it seems like you’re in good hands this time round, with all the effort you’re putting in, get the heads ported whilst you’re at it….. so you can finally finish the build and enjoy the car.
