That sounds like a plan and a half! Do it Brandon, save yourself the trouble of all the bullshit you are trying to wade through at the moment.

I see one problem.... ;)

PHAT GT wrote:i would be checking 4 things and the MRT core would not be one of them as i dont see even there core having this sort of problem with the power you will be at when done

1. check that no rags where left in any piping while being build. (sounds odd but have see this many times before) which will cause the same problem your having

2. check the cat to make sure that its not melted over from all the heat during the tuning process while at MRT or the current tuner

3. make sure the turbo is not out of puf ( i think i read you had a AVO or somthing like that) as these type of turbos are way over rated

4. check that the boost control and other important parts are wired and pluged in correctly

just in case its been over looked

5. you have no leaks after the turbo

6. hope the engine was put together right , i know who done all the machining work on the heads and block so i know thats all right

and if all else fails

6. give me the car for a few day and i guarantee ill get it sorted without fail

I'll pull the piping off and have a look for any wrags, didn't think of that didn't think anyone was stupid enough to do it!!

The areas checked last time when we had a restriction where is wouldn't boost it was running 12psi 210 atw

The car has a custom ATP thing that was made up, I asked them if it was out of puff too but they said no chance, but it is internally gated. When I picked up the car I said I was thinking about putting a gt35 on with external gate and they said there was no need, that this was better suited

They said they checked for boost leaks which as u know this car suffers from but there was none

The engine was rebuilt by revzone, so Im not sure u who put it together or if it was machined again

I would love for u to take a look but your too far away, thanks for the offer

What type of cooler kits are good? U sell any

Not exactly generous (inlet/outlet dia) !
But bar and plate might mean the core could flow well...
How thick is it?

I don't know it looks like every other standard issue George Foreman grill I've seen. :D :D

core is 75mm thick

inlet is 2in
outlet is 2.5

yes i might be looking for a slightly bigger cooler soon, im going to make some fittings and put a boost gauge on one side with a temp probe and the same on the other side too, then check the boost from the turbo to the cooler then the cold side of the cooler to the throttle body, i might even modify the bend where the pipe mounts the throttle body

im going to get me a few of these suckers as i used one in 2001 in my vl to measure intake temp and it worked very well, my plan is to get a couple of these extend the wires and put these alongside the boost gauges that im planing on installing in the silicon hose at both ends of the intercooler and start testing!! if anyone wants one let me know i could do a group buy and get them cheaper, when i used my old one i tested it in boiling water and was spot on and put it in the freezer, it reacts very fast and is cheap!!! good for lots of home testing!
