Gen 5 Liberty GT Wagon - First Mod

Well, it turns out the GT is going from comfortable daily driver to a work horse towing a pet grooming trailer. I'm taking this opportunity to tell the mrs that the trailer is going to be too heavy for the factory suspension and that the springs will need to be upgraded to something a bit more heavy duty. I am thinking of going with some STi springs, I am aware there are probably better options out there for the job but I like mods to be somewhat OEM.

Dang it. But I'm not sure the GenIV springs suit the GenV, I don't know why I think that, I'm sure I heard it somewhere... Thanks anyways.

I got a call from the panel beater last week. He said "Phil, I've got some good news, and some bad news."
"Oh yeah, well I've had a shit day so give me the good news and then hang up." I replied.

"I've managed to source a tow bar for you, it's removable and rated to 1800kgs for around $500 installed." Is what he said.

(I know 1800kgs is excessive but there is a chance I'll be towing some horse floats at some stage in the near future)

"Wow mate, that's the good news? Can't wait to hear the bad news. Give it to me straight." Garbo replies.

"Well, everything is going well with the repairs, but... Subaru puts the side window past the C pillar in really tight on all there cars. So tight that when you try and take them out, they inevitable break. I have asked Subaru to send one to us and it could take up to three weeks to get here."

(This is on top of the fact that I was already supposed to have my car back by the time this call took place.

"You've got to be F**KING kidding me! That's F**KING rediculous! Mate, I am walking into a meeting right now. I'll give you a call back in about an hour and a half and there better be some good F**KING good news! That's F**KED!" And I hung up.

An hour and a half goes by and I call him back.

"Phil, I'm really sorry mate. The best I can do is tell you that sometimes Subaru overquotes the timeframes for their shipping. I have had some stuff turn up in 5days from the time I ordered it from Japan so we can only hope."

"That's cool, sorry mate. Lost my head before, I've had a shocker of a week and just want my car back ASAP. Do whatever it takes mate, i just want it looking as straight as it did when it came out of the factory."

AAAAAAAARGH!!! I just want my car back dammit!!!

Hey garbo - what springs did you end up putting in?

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to drop it too much, but have been told I can't get STi springs to suit.
