Dent Day At Shift Performance

Postby Arith » Sun Nov 02, 2008 10:29 pm

A big thanks again to Norm for organising a great event. Hopefully a good time was had by all in terms of getting to chat with other Liberty owners but get some niggling dents removed.

Except for Pete who took paparazzi photos of my car at its most vulnerable, guess I was the only one with a camera? Anyway, here are some snaps. We didn't do a formal line up so they are quite random shots.

THE PICTURES

Trieu's new baby. I can already hear Mano gearing up to say his infamous catch phrase.
Image

The wagon with the K2 Gear quad tips. I can imagine Adam plotting away on how to transfer these to his car.
Image

Pete's (blacknwhite) S.Tech lowered baby with the HiTech quad tips. Yummy!
Image

A glimpse of the ZeroSports CF grille, which is pretty much now out of reach in terms of pricing.
Image

Matt's (swingn) Wasabi in all its glory.
Image

While Wasabi gets dent removal, we see the Apexi N1 business end.
Image

Matt hires a super hot model to showcase Wasabi. You should ask for your money back, Matt.
Image

The only view you'll get of Tony's (senator) STi where it doesn't look like he rolled it in mud.
Image

Everyone checking out Franky's (XRC15T) secret weapon. Very subtle it is.
Image

I'm just there for the chili sausages.
Image

Norm's (libsti) fantastic looking Ganador side mirrors.
Image

Michael's (PHAT GT) a sleeper from the back ... until you set your eyes upon the gigantic arse front mount intercooler at the front.
Image

Even Phat managed to make it out.
Image

Representatives from Team Wagon. Not going to say anything else because I'm trying to be nice.
Image

This car was parked next to us, and stuck on a large number of decals of the performance parts it supposed to have. We had fun trying to figure out how many of those brands were really installed. The owner, who works adjacent, might have overheard us laughing and poking fun because I think heard weeping from next door.
Image

I told Shift the STi steel braided brake lines are virtually unbreakable. They said "Oh yeah?", and then set out to prove me wrong. Rear brakes are overrated anyway! Haha. Just kidding. Getting my bumpstop trimmed.
Image

Just hanging out and chatting afterwards. There was a good 5 of us wearing the club shirts! Missing are Pete and Chris (sorry I didn't get a chance to take snaps of your white MY05 GT bud).

THE VIDEOS

Here are some videos I shot as well. Phat's requested I not post them up on YouTube in case the authorities use them again him, so I've just put them up for downloading privately for the forum.

- Trieu's K2 Gear Spec-Neo Dual quad tips (4.5 mb)

- Trieu's K2 Gear Spec-Neo Dual quad tips .... as interpreted by Phat GT (1.3 mb)

- Phat GT does an initial run in the parking lot. The locals are wondering what the loud noise is. (5.9 mb)

- Phat GT does another run in the parking lot. A few locals have soiled their pants. (2.9 mb)

- Phat GT does an even louder run in the parking lot. Locals are now running scared. (1.9 mb)

- Michael (NoOzL47) is proud to show off the rumble from his XR6 Ute. (6.2 mb)
