This is from an 07 TBSTi. I'm not sure if the 08 had one, best bet is to ask icefirehk, he has an 08STi.

Have you checked your battery?? Battery Acid can crystalize and go hard just a suggestion might be worth checking

Yes, they should have a register of VIN's against the TB STI build numbers

hmmm, will check all the components this afternoon.

This residue was ALL over the underneath protective part of the bonnet which I found extremely weird..at first thought it was fire extinguisher residue..butt puckered up on that one.

If you wanted i could sell you my cover if you want not a tuned by sti or w/e but still will be cheaper than the subie dealers. Or there are some zerosport ones I think which look the part I reckon.

Ah, thanks mate but nah. I am after my genuine numbered badge. I do like the zerosport cover though, but still, the issue of my missing badge remains.

Not sure if it helps, but the black pipes leading too and from my radiator and coolant overflow bottle have turned white. There is also some white residue around the top of the radiator and the radiator header tank over the engine.

I'm told this is 'normal' but no one has been able to provide anything more informed than that.

01 was a diamond grey auto and it's in WA

Dealer has confirmed after speaking with Subaru Australia that the MY08 Subaru Liberty's did NOT come with the limited edition badges.

Anyone have a MY08 TB STi who can confirm this?

Apparently I need to call Subaru Australia with the VIN to attain what number it is that I have...
