You should let him know, even if he wanted to upgrade to Phat mufflers he can't because Phat's on break and not producing any more mufflers for the time being. So you can rub it in a bit more to say your Phats are unique because no one else will be able to get them for a while.

Luckily fitment pretty straight forward for these. i've just gotta do some slight repositioning now. Thanks for getting them home for me to pick up last night. Now i can give the car for a good run down to Dunsborough this weekend with the mufflers on. Yeow!! :D

Nice work mate, enjoy!

Keep in mind that you should be able to get the height of both mufflers fairly equal, but getting them both an equal distance side to side is a bit of a struggle I found. They are actually designed to both sit close towards the centre of the car when cold. Once hot (and I mean hot, not warm!) they will move outwards towards the center of the bumper cutouts. This is normal. Just check after the first few heat cycles to make sure nothing is touching the bumper when they are hot. I had to readjust mine after the first couple of days but they are pretty good now.

cheers man
Ive been down south for the weekend and they went well. Surprisingly they fit well the first time and only needed a minor adjustment when i got down there. All in all im very happy with the result and would recommend a set of these to anybody contemplating going for aftermarket exhausts!

Has anyone noticed a decrease in fuel economy after fitting these? For some reason my car just seems to be chewing up the fuel. Highway driving and its struggling to get 450km from a tank

dan,

um...i normally drive 550 avg for a whole tank and my fuel consumption is around 9.4L/100km... if urs more than 10, then 450 is ideal. if u keep under 9.5L/100 then 500ish could be achieved

Cheers

Have you noticed your car doesn't pull low down like it used to? Maybe that's where the extra fuel is going to, stepping on it a bit harder only to have no torque to pull the car foward? That's just my guess, cause that's what I've found after fitting mine, so I'm using 5th less than I used to.

Haven't noticed any power reduction down low. Only noticed that it revs more freely now and is more willing to reach redline. To be honest in everyday driving to work etc I hardly have to use more than about 60% throttle nor go past 3000rpm as the traffic always gets in the way :| There is no difference in fuel economy for me.

Yea, with these fitted i don't have any low down torque. Its like they aren't causing enough back pressure or something. Were these created for the turbo models? Because if they were they then they were designed to work with a turbo which has increased airflow through the engine anyway.
