NUMBER PLATE (SEDAN)

To change the number plate in sedan you need to move few clips ..
Image
Access the bulbs through those 2 holes
Image
You will need a T10 base light bulb ...5 or 9 LED T10 is great for number plate

Audi Style LED Light
Personally not a fan of these in a Liberty but was going through some Japanese site and found this guy did the AUDI style light by installing the LED strip under the headlight, no need to open up the headlight ... just another idea for those WHO wants to do them ..

Hi Leo,

Great idea for a thread, i'm sure lots of people will benefit from it.

And i can highly recommend any of Leos HIDs and LEDs, quick service and great product!

I do have a question about the positioning of the LED pad for the centre dome. I can't seem to get it in the middle, it only fits to one side like in the pics below. It's not a problem, i could still perform open heart surgery the light is so bright, but i would like it in the middle.

Is there any way to make it fit in the centre? Or do most people have it to one side...

Hey Andrew

I had some people they modified the metal clip by turn the so you get more room to have the 36 LED panel right in the middle ..

or what i did was had one on each side ...

Whoa, 2 of them! I fear that will send me blind if i look at it! Let me think about it, i might be tempted to order another LED pad next time i order something from you. I can't think what, but i'm sure you will come up with something i want to buy soon! hehe :D

Out of interest, how do you wire in the 2nd LED pad? Do you just attach the 2nd red and black wires to the red and black wires of the other pad?

And i received those 13LEDs you sent me. cheers.

Hey Leo I did the maplight mod (cut out the screen to allow more light through). Now I realise why the screen is there: to stop glare! There is a lot more light now but it can be quite blinding especially for the driver if the passenger map light is on.

I have had to tilt the led globe about 45deg towards the front of the car to reduce this but still have good downwards lighting. I kind of regret doing the mod now...

What would you suggest is the simplest and best for a good upgrade for the centre dome light?
Don't need super bright, just better than factory. Just one the T10 6 LED? Existing one has died.

If you don't want too bright .. you can try use the 12 SMD LED panel for your main doom light ..

Leo is this photo of a car you installed ligts into. I am curious what the second switch is. Does it make those lights come on when the door is opened? My wagon does not have this. If it does make the lights come on when doors are open what model is it? I may try track one down and do a swap.

Thanks.

oh yeah must be of a sedan.

Mine is a wagon so only has to one switch tilts the front then slide the rear open.

Is there any way to make the map lights come on when the doors are open. I guess you would have to make a loom to join it to the interior light circuit possibly jump of the interior dome light.
