Introduce yourself

Suppose I better do an introduction. (MY02 B4)

Been on these forums for a while now after converting from Ozlib.com after their abortion of a forum upgrade. So I should introduce myself formally!

Name: Chardon (Chadza)
Ride: Royal Blue MY02 Liberty B4 Manual
Mod:
Ecutek Stage 2 reflash
3" Y-pipe back exhaust with a high flow cat.
Hyperflow Cold Air Intake
Walbro 255L/hr fuel pump
Hyperflow Catch Can
Plans:
Where do I start!? As funds allow the order will hopefully be-
Hyperflow top mount intercooler
Lowered springs (or re-set the originals. still undecided which way to go)
Front and Rear swaybars
Occupation: Airline Pilot
Year of birth: 1986
Interest: Well my interest is my work! Which is fun and boring at the same time!! (Flying)
Previous Rides:
1999 Subaru Outback
1990 Nissan Pintara TRX (x2)

I picked up the B4 in March of this year. Its been on my drawing board for 12-18months and the planets almost had to align for me to get one as I have had to move around quite a lot because of my career. This is where the Outback was great and a B4 wouldn't have been so practical!

Anyway, it had 118000km's on it when I bought it and seemed to be in VERY good condition. Full service history and all the rest. Since I have had it its been fairly reliable. Only things were some leaking fuel return lines and a dead coil pack that was making it run on 3 cylinders 1 day.

The car had the exhaust and catch can on it when I got it which has saved me a bit as the exhaust looks to be a good quality stainless job with a high flow cat. I have only put on some stage 1 mods for the moment which was building up to an ECU reflash to get rid of the dreaded VOD (Valley of Death) turbo changeover point. I got a Ecutek 2 tune put on the car yesterday which when combined with the mods already on the car, has turned the B4 into quite a quick street car. The Dyno sheet will show that its got 185kw atw. This wasn't just a once off either. It consistently made 184-186kw on 5 different power runs as they were tweaking the primary turbo range.

The B4 is not for everyone is terms of its power delivery, but for me its ideal. Its like having 2 different engines in the 1 car. If I want to just put around town economically but briskly, I can stay on the primary turbo below about 3500rpm and burn 10L/100km. Or if I want to have some fun in the hills on weekends, I can really let it off the leash and have 185kw at my disposal!

Welcome sweet ride mate! I was looking at the B4s when i bought mine coz they have some cool mod cons and the 2.0tt. There a nice ride but unfortunately i couldn't afford one as on P plates its too expensive on insurance for the twin turbo. Anyways looking forward to seeing more from ya :)
BTW Nice red calipers

cheers
