90% of pads left after 4 months according to my mechanic. Did not use the oem shims. As I mentioned at the end of my last post I have bought Dixcel SD Slotted Rotors to suit my brembos. I bought them from Troy at Prospeed for a very good price.

GTSPECB STI wrote:Thought I would update you as I have been running the Dixcel Type M for Brembo pads on my fronts now for 4 months. The reduction in brake dust is awesome and the bite is excellent but....the stock rotors are starting to make some noises because of this. I had my mechanic look at the stock rotors and he said he could shim a bit back but it would not solve the problem for long. So I have ordered Dixcel Slotted Rotors to try and fix this issue long term.

Thanks for the update.

Another group buy? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My bank balance is screaming for me to give this forum.

But I'm having too much fun :D :D :D

Anyone want rear pads (Dixcel Type M) for the stock brakes?

The stock pads no longer will fit my rear brake set up.

That'd be right, the GB closes and I get my darn brakes the week later!

DOH!

Now that this has closed, anyone know where I can get a price on pads for Brembo front and rear?

The Phatman has advised the pads have arrived.
As all but myself are from Sydney, you may arrange to pick them up direct from him commencing tomorrow afternoon.

Many thanks to the Phatman for his assistance.

Thank you for your support and patience. E-N-J-O-Y :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Since I'm new here - I dont actually know who the Phatman is - can someone let me know who he actually is and where I can pick up my pads from???

He seems a bit mysterious - like the Stig.... :?:

Thanks Tony for organizing this.
