I know this is oooooold, but anyway....do you have any of these panel filters left? I'll grab 1 off you if you do. Also, what is an "air guide"? I issume it guides air to the filter box  but how does it fit & how is it an improvement over the standard? Any pics anyone??

Don't think Phat gets on here much, you could try pm or emailing him. HKS panel filters would be pretty exy at the moment with the exchange rate.

Try the Apexi ones, similar sort of performance. T-rex sells them

If I was to put an air guide + HKS panel filter + (maybe) remove the resonator, it would be fairly safe to assue a reasonable change in noise, (more sucking and whooooshing) and a marginal increas in power?

spot on mate, if the sound is not what you want then do not remove the resonator, the gain will be slightly noticeable with more response
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

So not much sound change if I leave the resonator on..
I think I might get rid of it, just to see what it's like if I hate it it can always be put back on :)
A bit more noise would be nice, my 06 STi is a little bit too quiet at the moment I think..

Hi guys,

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the panel filter and a pod filter?

Cheers
