I have the same problem, what pads are the best with out to much dust?

has anyone looked into what calipers are available to replace the stocker Spec B ones?

The rotor's are quite big (316mm from memory) and I would be happy running them, although I would prefer a slightly nicer looking and better performing caliper? Was thinking an aftermarket 4-pot caliper should be able to fit?

Has anyone seen/heard of people being succesful in this regard?

I am running Dixel pads for brembos and sourced them from Troy at Prospeed Racing. Review is listed in post your mods section on here. Bloody awesome street pad and fark all brake dust compared to the stock pads the brembos came with.

I need to get new pads for the fronts at least!

still debating upgrading to Brembo's though...

can anyone definitively say whether or not the Brembo calipers will fit onto the stock GT-B rotors? Front and or rear?

as an alternative, what are the recommended options for an upgraded pad for the existing calipers...?

Jimmy, Brembo calipers will not fit onto GT-B rotors. So if you do get replacement pads now, you'll have to get new pads to go with any Brembo upgrade anyway.

Get yourself onto that group buy for the Dixcels. Awesome pad for anyone looking for good grip. Plus with practically zero dust, your wheels will love you.

my rotors are all good... but just contemplating the upgrade considering I need pads now anyway!

Good call on the Dixcels, they are my backup I think... but I am keeping a close eye on a certain ebay auction, and if that comes off, then I may need to find some rotors and lines to suit the brembo's!

Cheaper option than the Brembo calipers, and you can keep your existing rotors, would be to retrofit Sumitomo 4-pot calipers (off R32GTR, 300ZX etc) with a custom bracket. Was speaking to my workshop about it earlier last year, if there's enough interest I can use my car as the guinea pig. Will clear most wheels, too. No need to go for whack offset. :cool:

The Sumitomo calipers come in small, medium and large cast too, same internals but the large casting can give a BEEFY lookin caliper :wink:

I have made a bid on some STi brembo's anyway... but if they dont come through, I would be interested in looking into other options still!

the largest rotor combo is
R34 GTT 310mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)

OK... found a couple of options... thinking a set of STi Brembo's is going to be the go... beginning with just the fronts most likely...

Got a couple of offers, just trying to work out what is the best option and what a reasonable price is!
