First, follow all of AVO's instructions - they are pretty good but will take the average person (like me ) a bit of time to work out how to do the required work.
Once you have removed the TMIC and BOV, bracket with sensors, etc, also remove the air intake guide and the bracket that holds the engine cover at the bottom (this will save your hands from getting a few cuts)
To remove the std inlet pipe, remove all the vaccum hoses and the clamp on the turbo as per AVO's instructions.
The trick to removing the BOV return - i found it really hard to get to the spring clip, is to pull the inlet pipe out while aslo working the BOV return from the back, forward. You should be able to get it out enough to be able to get a pair of pliers around the clip.
Compare the std inlet to the AVO - you might need to trim it:
Get the inlet pipe into position, this is what everything should look like:
Test fit the pipe, note the clearance with the nozzle circled - i had to trim the allocation on the silicone pipe to get this clearance.
With the sensors on the bracket, put a cable tie arround this hose:
Reason for this is that when you go to put everything back, this hose rubs up against on of the nozzles and will keep removing itself.
Test fit the sensor bracket. Note sensor in the circle - it should sit just in front of that nozzle:
Now, make sure everything fits properly - i found it pretty easy to get the pipe around the turbo by just twisting it and pushing ti towards the turbo.
Test fit the pipe to the air filter.
If your happy with everything fitting, follow AVO's instructions and fit the BOV return, then the sensor bracket, etc. On my car i couldn't fit the crank breather hose as supplied by AVO(ie, with the 90 degree bend - see pic), i got a joiner and cut the std hose and joined it up to the one supplied.
Fit the inlet pipe and check and double check all fittings. Remove all tools and start the car - check for leaks etc.
All done!
Some msc info:
I had to trim my inlet pipe by about 80mm, the MAF pipe by about 30mm (1.5 on either side), the throttle pipe by about 10mm and the 1st nozzle by about 6mm.
