it's a technical issue, bigger tmic needs more air going into it...plus I am CF whore as you know :D

Putting the engine cover back on will make a much bigger difference than this thing.

agreed and I have the dremel poised to do some cover modifications this weekend. :D

Ouch, they have doubled in price over the past 18 months.

However worth every cent cause they look the sh&^.

IMO much better than the standard bonnet.

To me it looks like you need to cut your stock bonnet vent, why do these carbon units not have the bottom rail?

You don't have to cut, you just push it on, and then silicone it in.

The original vent opening size remains the same, yes. The ARC lip works by fitting over the vent to enlarge the opening by another 5mm, sort of like a funnel effect (according to the pic).

Think of it as you driving with your window open. Stick your hand out and forward a little bit. That little extension captures and diverts a bit more air into the window. Not sure if that's the best example. :?
