The NEW sticker post - closed

Postby Ric » Wed Dec 17, 2008 8:31 am

These posts have just been split out of the old sticker topic.

I'm looking at doing a new run of stickers, and am looking for comments about size and colour.
Here's a page you can print out and try on your car to see how the size suits. In my opinion, stickers on the back window of a sedan need stretching a bit vertically to look ok from another car, but I'd like your feedback.
actual size sticker samples

Previously we did white and silver, which stand out on a tinted window. There has been interest for dark-grey/charcoal for a stealth look.

Do we have a choice of any other colours? I wouldn't mind a charcoal colour if it's possible.

I've asked. I'm pretty sure he can do any colour we like, but we need the numbers to make it economic.
Where would you be putting it? Dark shades wouldn't show up on tinted glass.

Also, the previous stickers were a bit hard to read on a sedan back window due to the angle compressing them vertically.
The normal ones are 26x380mm, so we could stretch them to 36x380mm, or compress them to 26x270mm to make up for this. Any preferences?

where are you looking to put the charcoal sticker? it wouldn't show up too well on tints like someone said.

does anyone have a pic of it compressing as ric explained on a sedan? im not a fan of making the sticker any bigger.... hopefully 26 x 270mm will fix the issue?

Heh-heh. Do you see any stickers on my car promoting anything? I like to keep it very clean. However I do want to do my part and support and promote the forum, but I'd like to keep it as subtle as possible.

So like the shadow chrome Legacy badges, I'd like a not so 'in your face' sticker that won't detract from the car's overall clean appearance at a glance, but will be noticed upon further inspection.

Try this.
Download this sample PDF file
print it out, and stick the printout onto your window and see how it looks from a few car lengths away.
Make sure you select "Page Scaling" = "None" before you print it, and the sizes should come out spot-on on an A4 page.

Interesting. I'd even go with the 19x270 if that's an option. Like I said, subtle as possible for me in both size, colour, and font.
