Hi all. First post so don't be too hard on me.
So the other day I purchased a 2006 3.0R-B Manual Sedan with about 230K on it. It's a pretty tidy vehicle overall with straight panels and interior looking good for its age, lots of rego left and runs pretty well. Unfortunately I subsequently found out that some evil douchewagon has put chemweld through it at some stage to fix a blown head gasket, which has essentially turned an expensive repair into a junk engine waiting to die.
Yes, I'm an idiot for not getting it properly inspected etc etc.
Luckily I didn't pay ridiculous money for it and I expected a few issues to deal with, however getting into it for another >$10K less than a week after buying it is not what I had in mind. I don't really have the space or patience to part it out and at the moment it's 100% driveable and registered, so I'm a bit reluctant to start pulling pieces off it without a game plan.
Looking for ideas/advice. What's the best way for me to get as much of what I paid back as possible without being an a**hole?
Cheers.
