No huge updates at the moment, but a few things in the works.

Got some new (to me) door cards, which will replace my current set which have marks on them from a previous owner.

I also got and installed a Mishimoto catch can. I haven't properly mounted it yet, it sits snugly, but I am probably going to make a bracket out of aluminium. While I'm doing that I'll also try to make a cover for the intake, as I'm not a huge fan of the exposed pod filter look.
Image

I also have some parts which I have but aren't on the car yet. A new set of Rims, Wedssport Sa-15r 18x8.5 +48 imported from Japan. They are going on on Wednesday.
Image
Image

And a bit further off are a set of Alcon brakes. Still have to finish buying them, and then buy a new set of rotor rings.
Image

My reverse camera also arrived, but I haven't fit it yet, maybe tomorrow. It should help at night as the tint makes reversing a bit of a pain at the moment.

Awesome set of Weds!
And they don’t appear to have the over-fancy machining?
Love weds :good:

Yeah, definitely happy with the price, even once I factor in an engine rebuild or upgrade it's equal to or less than what others are going for.

Tuesday afternoon my Kobe Motorsports BOV arrived,
Image

I quickly got to installing it which was very easy, the only issue I ran into was that I had to trim the intercooler guide as the process west one is larger than stock, but that was relatively minor and doesn't effect the guide or the BOV.
Image

Today I took the car in and got tyres fitted to the Weds and now they are on the car.

The fitment is way better, and I love how it looks. I may still go silver at some point in the future, but I think the black will grow on me.

Next up, brakes, and then it'll be time to get some low.

A few more things to come in the near future, selling my old rims to help fund brakes.

Last weekend I tackled the reverse camera install.
The kit came with a hole saw which made things easy, just drilled the hole and pushed the wires and then the camera in.
Image

Next I ran the wiring and tapped into the reverse line.
Image

The biggest pain was getting the wiring through the grommet, but I got there in the end.
Image

I also ran a wire for the rear fog light while I was doing the reverse camera as I know that I'll be doing it in the future, and I was already running one wire through there anyway (the yellow wire you can see).

Time for a test run...
Image
The image is so zoomed in that the camera is useless. I mean it was only $10 off ebay, but so far the seller has been helpful, and now that the wiring is run it will be easy to swap out the camera for something else.

I have also changed the BOV to be full recirc as when it was 50/50 I got whoosh, but no exhaust pops and bangs which I missed. Now it's back to popping and banging as much as ever, but with louder turbo noises.

A couple of interior things to come, I should also get around to installing my JDM aero pods, and I'll install my new rad at some point too (I need to do an oil change soon, so rad, and spats will probably both happen then too. The weather has just been shit recently).

Headunit looks like there mate. So keen to see what the brakes look like. Are you planning on sticking with the green or going for something else?

Yeah, I'll stick with the green for now, if I change the colour of the rims then I will probably change the brakes too, but neither of those is going to be in the near future. I finished buying the caliper though, now I just need my old rims to sell and then I'll pick up some rotors and braided lines.

I have done a couple of thinks recently, I have wanted to replace the stock pitch stop mount for a while now.
Image
I opted for an Output Motorsports mount.
Image

Side by side with the factory mount it is a lot more rigid.
Image

It was a pretty easy install, TMIC off and then just two bolts through the pitch stop.
Image

It has improved the transmission feel and it feels like the car is more responsive.

I also installed my Mishimoto radiator, in my initial install attempt I managed to break the overflow nipple...
Image
I ended up getting a replacement nipple and taking it to a local place to have it repaired.

Take 2 of the install went a lot better, I put the fans on the radiator then lowered the whole lot in as one.
I had to trim the rad hoses as the mishi rad is a lot thicker than the stock item, and I also didn't connect the driver's side fan as it would touch the top rad hose. I also cable tied around the top hose to make sure it doesn't get hit by the alternator pulley. Hopefully new/thinner rad hoses will be happening soon along with a couple of other goodies.

Anyway, some glamour shots of the rad:

Another small update, went to a dyno day today.
Image

The car didn't make as much as I was hoping 172kw atw.
Image

However, despite this it was definitely useful, I now know that at high boost/rpm it detonates (happened on the run in the graph above, can see at about 5500), the afr also isn't quite right, I'm getting a copy of that from the dyno guys soon. But it gives me an idea of what to fix/change next, and also makes me more sure about getting it retuned.

Quick update, I finally removed the garden edging lip.

So. Many. Self. Tappers.
Image

I then (finally) fit my jdm spats
Image

I also fit my sti strut brace
Image
Image

I have a lip to put on too, but I am house sitting at a house with a really steep driveway, so I'll fit it after that.

Nice mate. I've always been a big fan of the STI brace. Looks super clean in the bay.
