They have some ongoing fuel system issues, imho the common issue is an fpr1200 being fed by a single pump (fpr is too big imho)... but a failing relay at the source could be a thing :)

Gotta go feed and a pressure system IMHO

The relay was perfect looking EXCEPT for actual contact surfaces were cratered from arcing current !!

Seriously once that was fixed it was ok but after last tune FAAAAARQ ME, it's spooling so much earlier.

You would have to drive to feel how 'open' and happy it sounds now.

It's got a heap of timing and more fuel I think but like a pig in mud now....

Needs to go over 300 at next dyno I think :-)

Was the affected relay located under the dash, passenger side?

Ive just replaced that one and the main too, as a fuel one was 12 years old...
If i can find it Ill cut it open n check contact surface condition.

Hmmm where did i put it...?

Quick update:

Had more electrical issues, but disconnected neutral safety switch, yay 80% of them are gone!

Also just popped some Continental Sport Contact 5P's 225x40 on, good so far!

Quite grippy, quieter and I actually like the softer sidewall with my firm spring set up.

Ordering a few parts, new rear arm kit, diff bushings and having engine mounts done as I have busted one.

Its done 50,000 since last engine n still together soooooo to get rid of the last electrical issues will be replacing ECU with Haltech elite over winter.

Nice one!
What’s the deal with 225’s on 8.5”?
Slight stretch for handling, or is it more speedo correct than say 235?
