Hi Guys,

Firstly I'd like to say that this forum is so awesome! I met a few of the boys at the dent removal day, and I must say, I didn't want to look at my car after I saw all yours!!
So much to do... wish I had the cash just sitting in the bank ready to be spent! lol.

But yes, my list...
Rims
BOV
Exhaust sys
and from what Ive been told, a ECUtek tune.
Oh yea and new air filter, considering the K&N is oil based, and thats no good.. wish i knew that earlier!! lol

Any good info, let me know where to go.

Should get one of those t-shirts too!

Cheers!

Welcome aboard Chris. Sounds like you have been doing some reading of threads here already. Your list sounds pretty good but I suggest you save your money on the BOV. Unless you are making crfazy amounts of power it is a waste as the stock one works just fine. If you want to hear the sound then just remove the resonator that is attached to the bottom of your intake box. Instead of spending $ on BOV suggest you look at doing the sway bars as this is a fantastic bang for your buck. Good luck and happy modding.

Welcome, Chris! Nice to have met you on Sunday. Hope you enjoy the forum and pick up more ideas! You've got a lot of plans for your baby already, and it's great to see you with all that enthusiasm. Just need to prioritise what's most to least important to you and work your way slowly.

Here are some basic ideas:

Performance - Top mount, exhaust, centre pipe, dump pipe, pod intake, tune
Handling - Sway bars, lowering springs, shocks, tires, brake pads
Appearance - Lowering springs, grille, wheels, HID, front lip
In-Car - Head unit, amp, subwoofer

Good luck! Keep going to the meetings and get more ideas and advice from some of the veterans.

Heya Chris, nice of you to rock up and say hello to the guys :)

Nice car too, love the white GT sedan, I'm a big fan.

Good purchase, Liberty's are well worth it IMO.

See ya at the next meet!

Is there anything around on removing the resonator? I think you might be right Jim, that might be the way to go. Realistically all I want is the sound lol

Welcome mate!

Was nice to meet you (& your GT) on Sunday. Really a big fan of the pearl white. Seriously is becoming the new black!

I'm sure your wallet is already feeling the pain after you saw a few of the other Libs 8)

With mods, just pick an area that your currently not happy with & go from there.

Personally, seeing as you've come from a fairly low powered car - So you should be loving the GT in stock form :D - I'd work on suspension, bracing & brakes. That's where I started off.

Otherwise start on the smaller cheaper mods like BOV's, air filters (There's already one off the list :D ). If your tyres are on the way out, get new rims at the same time etc.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Best thing I can advise you to do is do the research, come out & hear various exhaust etc that people have. That way when you go part with the cash, you know your going to be happy with the products :D

Cheers
Matt
