P0365 assistance

Postby Beamz » Tue May 23, 2017 6:52 pm

Ok so I've this code. I've replaced with genuine sensor. I've checked wiring. I've swapped ocv from side to side. Im lost..if you rev car check engine light goes off but cruise still flashes. When car has warmed up. It goes away. After car cools down it always comes back. Car starts. Then revs rise and check engine light comes on. I've cleared code.. But always comes back.. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks craig

Yeh got the same issue Craig. I too have replaced a sensor with a genuine one. My mechanic had cleaned all camshaft sensors, cleared codes but code comes back from time to time. Worth taking the car to Subaru? It's got myself and my mechanic all confused.

Ended up being front cam sensor bank 1, not rear. Swapped both front ones over and code went over to bank 2. Will be getting a new one Monday.

Any P0365 codes since replacement? Would the remedy be to replace both sensors on one side?

no mate. I put sensor in last night and code went straight off. Driven two days prior and light on most of the time. Drove 100 ks today. No light. no flashing cruise. Sensor sorted it.
I do believe it was front all along but from web crawling I believed sensor b wasthe rear. Anyway its sorted. Swap your fronts ovr. Simple job. two 10mm bolts and pull out and swap. see if code moves over (if you have a obd reader)
Sensor was $80 delivered from ebay. (genuine Subaru) Suby dockland wanted $289!!! go figure.

Lemme know if you want help e.g codes read. help with swapping etc. Im close to city.
Cheers
