Induction Method

Postby Bazwald » Sun May 14, 2017 11:52 pm

Anyone on here fitted a CAI or like a prova air scoop and want to talk about their experiences?
Is it a meaningful mod or a waste of time?
Cheers,

Seb, the only fully developed CAI for the H6 is by Raptor Superchargers, give Tim (the owner) a call to see if he has any in stock. I have one fitted as do others on this site and it improves throttle response and intake flow. A tune is mandatory to configure the AF ratios but it really does open up the H6's breathing, that and a set of Raptor headers and a free flow exhaust will make a difference.

Cheers Rob.
The only thing about the Raptor RAM is I thought I read somewhere on a thread that pre-FL Libs ECU's weren't compatible for the retune necessary for it to work correctly.

Worth speaking to Matt from kidotuning / throttlehappy.

Somewhere in my mind I have a feeling that he is able to tune those as well.

Raptor RAM CAI are no longer being made. I enquired a while ago about purchasing one. Still looking for a suitable CAI.

I think Tim at Raptor was caught out last time as a few people said they wanted them, but only 2 went ahead straight away (myself being one of them) and the rest sat around for a long time. If you could get enough people together that would make solid commitments (deposits?), would he do another run? I don't know, just thinking out aloud. I am sure the last run was of 5 units total.

Seb, mine is a pre FL model with the 512kb ECU. Matt from Kido Tuning tuned mine and should be able to tune yours assuming that you can get a RAM CAI from Tim at Raptor.

Hey Rob. That is very handy to know, thanks for that.
Dan, I dunno if I can get anyone else on board... Maybe one or two at the most unfortunately.

Same with mine, it is Pre FL and has the RAM intake tuned by Matt - perfectly perfect

Way to late on the Raptor Intake. Anyone had any experience with aftermarket panel filters? Do they make a difference?
