Upgrading the Rotors is definitely a good idea! Its not any extra effort if your already replacing the pads.
DBA T2 or T3 rotors have a higher heat rating making them stronger and last longer.
If your just planning on driving on the street go for T2 series rotors, rotors can be ordered in slotted or non slotted.
Surge the reason your pads wore out quicker is due to the T3 disc's being slotted, slots chew up the pads quicker.

Personally I noticed a difference with good pads.
But when I went with dba4000 t3 rotors I just noticed the pads wore out faster.
Looks good though. Not worth the price.
Also i am not biased towards DBA in any way, RDA make good disc's too (I have them on the rear of my car)
