Indeed, annoying considering you spend a fair amount on a brand spanker with an engine (which is supposed to be the star of a car) and which has been around for a while now, albeit now hooked up to a CVT.
My fingers are crossed it might be just oil over splash on this occasion and the sealant is OK, though my private mechanic is fairly fastidious with his work so its back to the dealership I go.
Agree, as long as the dealership think it should not develop into a major leak down the track provided I keep my eye on it, then I can live with it, but then the dealer/Subaru can say this of course as they only have to do the bare minimum necessary to see out the remaining new car warranty I suppose.
An indicator to look ahead maybe to the next Gen Lib which is odds on to be either a 2.0 or 2.5 DI turbo (rather than the 2nd upgrade for the current gen/same engine due in 2018)
