2006 Liberty STI Manual exhaust suggestions?

Postby Stoksie123 » Sun Feb 21, 2016 9:09 am

Want a decent exhaust system, not too noisy but louder than the stock STI exhaust.. Was thinking Xforce as has been suggested by a few mates, but ya'll would know better.

Help me out :)

Invidia Q300 will get the job done nicely and you still get quad tips. I'd also get an AVO or CES Racing or custom dump pipe for a full turbo back system, and get a tune.

Q300 for sure. Its quadtips look spot on. Mines on a twinscroll which i'm assuming yours is too. Sounds pretty damn good to me. Not too loud at idle and low load but makes some awesome noises when giving it the beans.

Thanks for that guys.
I've narrowed down my options to 2 systems:

1. Invidia Q300
2. HKS Hi-Power Silent

Any preferance?

Just a note that you can't get the invidia dump pipe - you can only fit the catback. the 04-06 turbo is a VF38 and has a specific flange that was on no other AUDM car. (and only on the legacies in japan, just for longer.). AVO make a suitable dump head, CES racing can make you a dump pipe, or you can buy a flange off ebay and get one made.

Thanks! Helpful info, plus saves me a lil bit of money for the meantime.

Does anyone have a link to the q300? Just got my 06 lib sti a few weeks back and looking to upgrade the system. I've found the Sti q300 on Invidias site but seems to only suit wrx sti. This is my first subie so not sure if it still fits or not. Cheers.
