Many years update.... and in truth only over here again because I'm looking for part numbers :)

New shoes mostly, CE28N's resprayed in Rays Volk Silver with Potenza S001's
New coilovers. Tein Superwagons needed a rebuild so now it on to a new set of Tein GT wagons.

Besides that, car is parked due to needing a new clutch. Competition Stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel inbound. Additionals include a Holy Shift Kit, torsen front diff and the usual seals, slave cylinder and braided line etc, while its all out.

Nice one, mintacular!
I'm planning same re gearbag upgrades, exedy HD, STi torsen flsd and maybe a rebuilt centre diff, the latter from member billycorgi who offers the option of increased viscosity fluid.
Who is doing your box rebuild? DIY able?

Not DIYable after having a good look though the associated service manual :? I was recommended someone by Adam at tuspeed but unfortunately I'm on the wrong side of the city.
I'll be hitting up Lucas Automotive, just around the corner, and having a chat sometime this or next week to discuss works and attached cost(s)
Adam recommended:
"Nick at Auto Diff and Trans in Gaffney St, Coburg has done quite a few of my customers cars. He used to build gearboxes for Allan Moffat many years ago. Either him or Aleck out at Got It Rex."

Bruce was quoted circa $800 for the front diff job by Crockers a few years ago...
There's a lot of to and fro associated with setting the preload and backlash and the need for a service tool or custom wrench for the sun dial, kinda job I'd like to watch n learn before trying :(

Did that inc. removal and refit? I'm hoping to absorb some of the cost with the removal and refit required for the clutch. Will also do braided line, new slave, new fork and boot, etc at the same time.

Cheers, it was a fun day.
The front oem suretrac was getting on a bit I think so that probably had a bit to do with it. New one more is consistent and predictable.
Lucas Automotive did the work although the GB service and diff install was done offsite.
