6MT shifter parts query: Black reverse insert & boot collar

Postby waali » Mon May 09, 2016 10:30 am

Could someone tell me which Liberty and/or others came with the black versions of the following 6mt shifter parts or better yet the part numbers if that's ok.

- Reverse collar insert
- Boot collar

Shown below, bottom left of picture, the silver parts on the shifter.
I was going to remove and sand as they are only painted but if they are cheap I'll get some in the next OS order.

Ok, Lathewerks make the boot collar so there is that. Is there an oem 6MT black reverse collar insert?

That they do, but no black reverse collar. Well they will but it'll be 135ish usd.
Going to go with plan b. Remove parts, sand off silver, polish, refit.

Perrin also do one thats a one piece item so less chance of it rattling around like the stock ones do after a while.

I've seen that one, but very keen to avoid any branding.
