That's a coping mechanism lol!
And another therapy: work on the Lib.
The logging didn't prove anything other than what I already knew: that the stock AF sensor logged output wasn't particularly stable, hunting evenly between 14-16ish AFR.
It was well overdue for replacement, eg every 80k.
I took the advice of the local mechanic and went for a genuine AF sensor... Alexis spare via japanparts.
Installed it this morn, removed the old one by removing the nearby exhaust shield (optional) then my big shifter, came out clean despite warnings to the contrary from ol mech mate.
Popped in the new one, but went back to borrow a 1/2" open wrench to nip it up. Iirc it's 21mm and their sensor socket didn't have clearance to the nearby header bolt, and I don't have a grinder to mod one, nor the correct open end... Yet.
Then having memorised the diys, I changed the spark plugs, also due or over: bought car at 150k now 230k...
It's a fun job, but one little tweak I added was to slightly twist the coil pack loom plug pins, on the coil pack side of course.
Apparently plug pin discontinuity is a common issue as we have seen with the fuel pump top assy plug, and might contribute towards the common cyl3 misfire at age. Indeed I just swapped mine out.
The old plugs were cooked, most of the narrow electrode (?) is gone so the gaps were about 2-3x stock

So good so far, just idling in the driveway, less AFR activity for sure.
I'll be logging and lv'ing and may smoke test the inlet if required.
Maybe a tune revision, maybe not, more soft mods for sure

I was like, should be trolling the streets looking for my gear, but for the better, the fingerprint squad rolled up just as I was buttoning her up

We had a huge chat whilst the suspicious prints were lifted from the door.
Time to start looking at bricks n mortar eg dealers is in a week or so due to the relevant laws for s/h goods.
And hit up gumtree etc this minute...
I'll follow up with some pics.
