My Pirellis are truly flogged on the inside rears, I guess I've got some rear toe issues. You know, like visible belts in spots.

I'm getting the threefa deal on S001s at the local Donellans, cheers Rocky :)
But I've been roused on previously for wanting non standard alignments.
Fair enough, they're always flat out doing all the dealer delivery and service cars from the local dealerships eg Porsche

So to get around this I decided to take affirmative action, inspired also by Owen's non track DD alignment, and empowered by googling DIY alignments :P

I got Owens alignment spec as dialled by the guru at RaceLine suspension in Ringwood.
He's also on 8.5 +35... It's pokey, somewhat non tucked, but with regular checking & tweaking it can work!
Iirc:
Front:
-2' camber
? caster: max it where possible I have AVO caster offset LCA bushes
2' total toe out

Rear:
-1' camber static, I have WL rear upper camber bushes, now maxed to the positive side...
1' total toe in

Or similar. TBC :P

Keen to see how you got on with your Alcantara, still got a bit left over from my pillars but really can't decide what else, if anything, should be done.

Sad day here, Lib was broken into (locked no idea how they got in???) and my camera and school bag and the wife's camera were all nicked. :(
Was I targeted?
Maybe, I'm always on the go with lots of photo or video gear and this time got very unlucky.
Right in the middle of a Make A Wish foundation shoot too.
Some miscreant is up for a hella serve of Karma this Xmas :(

So if you see a crusty old Nikon D3 going cheap, or an extremely rare ltd edn grey Nikon 70-200 2.8 vr for sale please let me know :) there was lots more taken, a more full list is on my Facebook page.
I'll miss the gear, faithful tools for the last decade :good:

Setbacks...
However I still have most of my health and sanity, wonderful family and friends, a nice home and cars, so VERY thankful for all life has provided me, even more so...

To be honest, it's uplifting overcoming shocks like this, and doing the make a wish shoot put it all into perspective for me...

Im gutted for you Ben. I know what it's like to own quality camera gear and I am protective of that too. I have a fair bit myself as you know. Hope this scum chokes.

On the bright side it sounds like you have it all insured. Going full frame and getting new gear is always a plus. You're gonna love it.
Cheers

Likes^^ :)

That's a coping mechanism lol!
And another therapy: work on the Lib.

The logging didn't prove anything other than what I already knew: that the stock AF sensor logged output wasn't particularly stable, hunting evenly between 14-16ish AFR.
It was well overdue for replacement, eg every 80k.

I took the advice of the local mechanic and went for a genuine AF sensor... Alexis spare via japanparts.
Installed it this morn, removed the old one by removing the nearby exhaust shield (optional) then my big shifter, came out clean despite warnings to the contrary from ol mech mate.
Popped in the new one, but went back to borrow a 1/2" open wrench to nip it up. Iirc it's 21mm and their sensor socket didn't have clearance to the nearby header bolt, and I don't have a grinder to mod one, nor the correct open end... Yet.

Then having memorised the diys, I changed the spark plugs, also due or over: bought car at 150k now 230k...
It's a fun job, but one little tweak I added was to slightly twist the coil pack loom plug pins, on the coil pack side of course.
Apparently plug pin discontinuity is a common issue as we have seen with the fuel pump top assy plug, and might contribute towards the common cyl3 misfire at age. Indeed I just swapped mine out.
The old plugs were cooked, most of the narrow electrode (?) is gone so the gaps were about 2-3x stock

So good so far, just idling in the driveway, less AFR activity for sure.
I'll be logging and lv'ing and may smoke test the inlet if required.
Maybe a tune revision, maybe not, more soft mods for sure ;)

I was like, should be trolling the streets looking for my gear, but for the better, the fingerprint squad rolled up just as I was buttoning her up :good:
We had a huge chat whilst the suspicious prints were lifted from the door.
Time to start looking at bricks n mortar eg dealers is in a week or so due to the relevant laws for s/h goods.
And hit up gumtree etc this minute...
I'll follow up with some pics.

What a bitch mate - I feel for you, having recently gone through this with all the stuff in my astra (child seat, camping/emergency/survival gear). My anger at them is only now subsiding after some weeks (although my car was taken from my driveway). The replacement astra has an alarm, and I've purchased some HD cams and some 100W LED floodlights. I'm also considering some sort of high end alarm for the liberty with remote tracking/disable/alarm.
