Hey Jack, look forward to see the results - love astro photos. If you're really interested in some serious astronomy viewing/photos, my brother has a Meade LX90 he's looking to sell (doesn't use it much any more). Has built in tracking so you can do super long exposures, camera attachments and other extras included. 2000mm focal length I believe.

I was down at Phillip Island over the weekend and Saturday night was clear as crystal. Got up at 3am to take some shots down by the sea.

well i got sweet fuck all. was crystal clear night, drove up, by the time we got to where we were going the fog was so thick i had to drive at 30kph. then went back down the mountain to get away from the fog and the clouds rolled over. just my fucking luck. seems every expedition lately has had bad luck. :angry2:

First ever car photo I've ever taken. I think it turned out alright, really keen to get out there and take a few more photos. Other then photos of just my own car.
Let me know what you guys think. I will take on any feedback! (Just brought a BG5 by the way)

It's the Elysian Rock lookout in the Blue Mountains, near the Three Sisters. On a clear night, it's amazing.

Looks good Wombles for your first go. As a tip, I spoke to a guy who does this type of photography regularly and he says, to always wear black and try and point the light source away from you and as much onto the subject so you don't get blurred silhouettes of yourself in the shot. Also, do the light box work first and have someone in the car duck down and switch the lights on and off after so there is less chance of getting reflected light coming off your clothes with the head lights.
