I'm in tomorrow morning for 0830 at the Gap Tavern, most likely my mate in a bright yellow S15 will be coming as well.

EDIT: Just talked to him, he wants to know if he can bring a few GTR guys with him as well.... what do you guys reckon?

I don't see a problem with a few Nissan's. I should be ok to see you guys there at 8:30am but don't wait for me, well not for more than 10m anyway ;).

A drive up over Nebo and Glorious, down the back of Glorious and back via Samford is a good run.

Nice cruise today fellas. The weather ended up being beaut so dry roads and spirited driving a plenty. I was very happy with how the lib performed today and it was only me holding it back from even more awesomeness :P.

A couple of pics below:

Nice one Rob. Those glasses aren't bad. Is that as much footage as they can hold?

Was a good day, the weather worked out really well too

That footage isn't bad at all, especially for $50!

It had a 32gb micro sd card in it, later footage was less to see as I was leading for most of it

ferret89 wrote:That footage isn't bad at all
that was re-compressed to 100mb as I uploaded from a 3g conx, original file was 600mb.

MattyB wrote:There is a event called Race-A-Mate on at Willowbank raceway on Friday night, it is a more relaxed version of Test N Tune with timed and flag drop runs, would be awesome to get you guys out there and meet some of the SE Qld crew! Keeen to head out and race some people, hopefully some of you guys! Here is some info:

After a hugely successful November event, Race-A-Mate is back on February the 6th!

Race-A-Mate is all about getting to race your mates in a safe, and relaxed environment. Line up next to a similar car, bike or mate and run down the 1/4 mile! Perfect for first timers as well as those who want to set times on a Friday night with a great atmosphere.

Individuals and car clubs are encouraged to race each other, display together, and check out what local businesses have to offer.

The night costs $60 to race and that includes entry for one spectator. Passenger passes cost $20. Without delays from the usual purpose built drag cars we intend to have maximum track time for all entrants. Tickets purchased at the gate on the night.

WHAT TO BRING
As usual with racing at Willowbank Raceway you're required to wear a helmet, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and closed shoes whilst on track. This is a safety requirement, without these items you will not be able to participate.

The night will feature
- DJ
- Drop Flag Racing
- Timed Runs
- Prizes
- Food and Drink
- Trade stalls

The event will run off the following format;
Timed runs: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Drop flag (expression) session: 8:30 – 9:30pm
Timed runs: 9:30 –Close

Is your car eligible to participate? All cars must fulfill the below requirements and be driven there on the night. (no trailers)

We have some great opportunities for businesses to have trade displays and sponsor competitions on the night. Simply email dylan@ausgarage.com.au for more details.

Think I might go to tomorrow's meet. Anyone else want to get a 1/4 mile time?

Damn Robin would have been great but bad timing for me. Car is minus a radiator at the moment, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow but let me know next time for sure. It would be good to see how she does down the quarter.

As much as it'd be awesome to see how she goes in the quarter mile, I'm working that evening so unfortunately, I'll have to pass. Another time perhaps...

Not sure where you are on the coast bud, but Steve Smith Automotive is at Nerang - that's where I go anyway- he knows Subys pretty well, and reasonably priced too.
