no dyno sheets, no fuel figures etc
Speed doesn't kill its the sudden stop that does.

With 6 interested parties wanting an update on results on the previous page I don't think it's all been laid out.

195Kw@wheels from an auto 05 GT with dump pipe and full exhaust, TMIC and TD04-19t on 17psi peak power, 19psi midrange boost.

120Kw@3200rpm and 150Kw@3600rpm is the real winner in this

Symbiosis(3 port fitted, tune tweaked), Archie01, Vinh(just got his 3 port fitted and tune tweaked), Damien in Melbourne(not sure if he is on here) and 3 local cars to me all have loved what they have gotten from their cars. Sharpie also fitted a TD04-19t to a Melbourne TBSTI manual

Doing E85 on Archie01's car this weekend on an auto. Lets see what it does :)

Yep be interesting to see what the little TD04 with a -20t on an auto can muster.

Has anyone seen/tried out the Mamba branded VF38 replacements?

Mamba - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MAMBA-GTX-Tu ... 2a4e3dc2b2
Kinugawa - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Bil ... 4193924ff2

Specs and all look the same as Kinugawa. Even the ebay ads look the same but the Mamba is $150 cheaper but looks like its missing a couple of gaskets.

From my brief research online, it appears one of the original guys that was part of Kinugawa went his own way to create the Mamba brand.

Thoughts?

I havent touched the exhaust. I think it was already fitted with a 2.5" exhaust.

"195Kw@wheels from an auto 05 GT on pump fuel"

"180kw atw on Gotitrex dyno on E85"

"193kw on the Gotitrex dyno on pump fuel for a 19t from a TBSTi 5MT"

Those dyno readings are out of whack. :? Ignoring the first one as a happy dyno, and considering it was the same gotitrex dyno for the last two, they would have to have major discrepancies with dyno setup/atmospheric conditions to get an E85 auto to READ 13kw less than a 98 pump manual. If they were to have been dynoed on the same day - we're talking about 30kw+ difference in power in favour of the manual (having already accounted for manuals reading 20kw higher than auto at that level. My old vf46 picked up 30kw with E85 and the 19T is bigger...?).

If the MT really made 193, then logically the MT should be seeing 230kw on E85. The auto (which on pump should then read 175 odd, instead it looks more like 155kw from that 180kw that we have on E85) should be reading 200kw+ (that's even after cutting off another 10kw for engine discrepancy, tyres, broken taillight, burnt fluid, side injector spray pattern, fluffy dice etc).

It should ideally read 210kw on the same dyno in similar weather (and Mick estimated 220 on auto on E85).

Judging from that either the auto has a very restrictive exhaust (costing 20+kw), or it's following a string of very low reading kido tuned autos (none of which have ran the 1/4 unfortunately, for us to see what's what).

Time for a mph run indeed. :D

Might want to check why the existing stock rear mufflers are so restrictive for making top ended power. Probably irrelevant that its logging 204Kw in Virtual dyno though with no rpm slip inflating figures.

I have had over 40 autos running 1/4 miles... 13.24 from a dump pipe + 3 port in a Gen4 GT and the worlds fastest Gen5 GT Auto. Let me know when you head down to Calder next, I will send one of the flex fuel VF46's down to see how it fairs. Archie might even be up for a run as well.

Haha whatever you say, Matt

Why do you need me to go with them? Just post some slips up

They're looking at at least 2 mths before the track at Calder will be ready so looks like Heathcote is the only short term option unfortunately.
Prefer not to drive 1.5hrs just to get a mph slip to be honest but if I get a chance ill go with a few other mates who might run their cars otherwise ill be waiting till calder is ready.
