Auto gt-b 07 Rpm drop when lift off throttle.

Hey guys, this is my second gt-b I ve owned.
It has got 75000kms on it, automatic. Stock, only thing is having slight knocking noise from the front left bilstein under very slow speed turn.

Problem I had noticed yesterday when driving back home. Revs seems a lot lower than before around 700 rpm when idle. When I drive it,everytime I lift off the throttle ,revs drop down to800 rpm and pops back to where it should be depends on the speed. I don't feel anything strange to the power or sudden loss of power . Just the needle seems acting a bit strange.
I know I can't explain clearly that s why I post up a vid.
Could that be just a week battery or alternator on its way out?
Or I am having a major problem than what I thought?

If anyone have had the same issues, please share with me.
Much appreciated

Is it dropping to near idle speed when your off power at speed?

If so it.might be a borked over clutch in the box, drop the oil and see if there is any metal or aluminium in the oil
Speed doesn't kill its the sudden stop that does.

If it drops near idle every time you get off the throttle then I agree with the above post.

Busted one way clutch in the transmission.

It drops below 1000 rpm so yeah I think it drops to where idle is.
It wasn't everytime though. Mostly on intelligence mode under 60 ks.
As sport mode they tends to hold the rpm a bit.

Thanks guys

Regardless of what is in the oil, a broken clutch means the trans needs to come out.

You could try a trans service as part of the diagnosis process, just don't expect a miracle.

Bad news I know, but I suspect the situation will not improve.

Is that a bad thing ? and what's involved to get it fixed ?
sorry I have very limit knowledge on these things.
Holiday is coming right up, wouldn't be able to get it checked til next week.

Saw this on LGT forum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pam9vkzVMKs back in 2012.
this video shows more what the problem is. :?

There is nothing wrong with the gearbox or your vehicle based on what youre describing and the video above.

What you are experiencing is completely normal for an electronically controlled auto

Don't waste your time and money checking anything out

This is nothing to do with gear box don't bother dropping fluids it will cost you a bit to do this and have new fluids replaced.

Is your car doing any of these symptoms ?
Overheating, slipping, shuddering, high stall speeds, or strange noises?

Doubt it as it will be obvious. Lately we are getting a lot of money wasting paths to go down that are completely unrelated. :angry2:

Hi mate, dont know if you remember me, I got the Headunit and speakers from you few years ago. :D

Just two days ago, i notice this. my other x1 did not do the same also for other cars i had before.
If it's completely normal , I am off the hook. so many things going on in my mind.

Anyway, i 've booked in for a datascan and a road test with Boxer Brendale just for piece of mind. They charged $55 for this which it's very fair.
