Inaudible turning indicators

Hi there,
I just bought a 3.0 Spec B wagon, 2006. Great car.
My turning indicators are almost inaudible. Does anyone have any clues about making the clicks louder?
Is it a modular unit that can be swapped?

Locate the flasher can, from memory behind / around the interior fuse box (Almost looks like a large relay), carefully take off the grey cover & drill some 4 or 5mm holes in all sides.

It been about 8 years since doing this though... will try to dig up a picture or 2.
