Aaaah I see. He says NEL is better for autos. Hence why he recommended that for me.

So I installed the fuel pump and new fuel tank filter... it was a lot easier than I was expecting, although still took a while. I reckon if I had to do it again I could do it in 30 mins next time.

I also installed my process west cold air intake... it's completely silent off boost as you'd imagine.. but as soon as you get the slightest bit of boost up a hill it sounds like a jet engine... possibly louder haha. Can't tell you how it sounds on wide open throttle as its untuned, but id imagine it'll get even louder.

It amazes me that people put cold air intakes on without tuning. The car definitely doesn't like it and easily stalls (auto). The only time I'd ever consider it without a tune is if the car was running a stock "rich" tune. I'm also amazed that some manufacturers say no tune required... dangerous!!

I forgot to mention... discovered a screw in my tyre on the weekend. I'm worried it won't be fixable as it seems to be the size of a roofing screw. Its a whopper!

Can fix holes upto 6mm in diameter as long as its not sidewall or too far onto the shoulder. Take it in sooner than later if you run it flat for even a short period itl destroy the sidewalls internally

Hmm. It'd have to be close to 6mm... but now I'm second guessing myself as to how close it is to the shoulder. I'll have to double check tonight.

Just take it into a tyre shop they will have to strip the tyre to check properly. Worst case is new tyre but if tight for money slap your spare on and see if they have any 2nd handies for spare

Well, the screw is about 1.5 - 2cm from the edge of the tyre. I fear they'll tell me it's unfixable. If so I'll have to buy another pair. Bugger!

Sounds like itd fine man hopefully hasn't gone in on a wicked angle. And that it hasnt dropped pressure whilst you have been driving as it doesnt take much time for it to wear the sidewalls out. The tyre usually looks ok but can be down over 10psi or greater. Bite the bullet and get it checked properly. Roofing screws should be fine to fix theyll prolly slap a mini combi A6 into it

Looks like the screw is slightly angled away from the side wall.. but I have been driving on it for probably 2 weeks before I discovered it... eek.
Its going in to be looked at in the morning so fingers crossed.

Well the guy said it may be fixable but it will depend on whether or not there is room for the patch inside the tyre.
I got a text to say it's ready to pick up just then. I'm assuming he fixed it but I won't know for sure until I get there. I've got a photo of it, I'll post it shortly.

Cool. Sounds like that it wasnt an issue. If it's fixed ok, just means you avoid having to prematurely buy a new tyre.
