Got some new gear i tested out while chillin with some mates. Sadly forgot to bring a tripod. Compressed some for easy viewing.

this is my first attempt at capturing the Milky Way.
13sec, ISO 6400, f/2.8, 24mm - has a bit of distortion on the edges... not sure what cased this, possibly due to rotation of the earth. any help?

So nice! So do you just aim it anywhere or a specific spot? is it better to be in like a dark field?

finally got to photograph something expensive haha. impromptu so i only had one lens on me...

being somewhere away from the city is essential. i went past the blue mountains to be able to get this. and yes i specifically aimed it at the milky way.

Thanks David, yes I am a beginner. The camera I have is my first DLSR. I've always dabbled on my phone but never to this extent and yeah Im loving every minute of it. Appreciate the kind words.
