Exhaust on or in general STI 247

Postby THE SpecB » Wed Jan 21, 2015 4:17 pm

I came across on the road the above Sti number plate.

I could not admire enough every time he gave it a heap of pedal - besides the smoke out back of exhaust on WOT :) that the stock quads had a pushing of air sound out the back with out noise if this makes any sense?

How can this be achieved?

having a problem interpreting your grammar, but you not thinking of perhaps an air intake such as a pod filter or removing the resonator on the stock air box.

Most definitely not pod filter. I'm trying to describe a pushing or air like restricted if that make sense.

Haha I would assume then that if your positive it's from the exhaust and not turbo or anything then perhaps it's literally just large amounts of air running through the baffles of a stock muffler

so not like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9e3hZjEWz0

Generally IME this occurs when your exhaust is over muffled and you're losing a bunch of power through restriction. When my car had the stock exhaust, it used to sound like that, very airy.

If you want that sound, upgrade your dump, intake, get a tune, but leave the exhaust stock, that should do it.
