Hello guys!
Feel like i know alot of you alredy as i have read the whole thread.
Anyways, my girlfriends 07 Legacy 2.0R auto (or liberty to you if i understood correctly? ) just got
the flatspot issue a few days ago. It has ca 130 000 km on the clock.
Had a big service late october last year (not sure how much they change in the biggest service).
When it reaches 2500 rpm, the rpm needle starts jumping a bit up and down, before it downshifts a few times.
When it finally passes 3500 rpm it feels normal again. If i drive the car in manual mode, so the rpm is between 2500 and 3500,
give full throttle, nothing happends. Cant hear any popping og anything when this happends.
She has a leak in joint at one muffler so its not so easy to hear at the moment.
Talked to a Subaru dealer yesterday, and they had one car with similar problems, they changed the MAF and it was fine.
Try to read fault codes with a autel device, but it returned 0. (but as i read here, this might not show everything?).
I havent started to investigate yet, and im not looking forward to it as i never toutched a boxer engine before,
so im not sure whats up and down here if you know what i mean.
Will try to clean the EGR, MAF and check fault codes. The dealer could log everything they told me, so will do that to
when im going in there.
Also we will try with 98 octane fuel as she now uses (and has always) 95. Just to see what happends..
Hope the problem is a easy fix, and not like osme of you that just cant get rid of it..
Regards
Fredrik from Norway
