He isn't that great. I'd rate him about the same as drunk sex when you struggle to get it up.

Haven't driven this in a while. But changing the housing this weekend.

Been reflecting (I tend to do that).

If I could have my time over this is what id do:

Built destroked 2.5 to 2.34 litre long rod closed deck (deschelle, pms or serge built)
Custom pistons to suit (modeled on ej207 piston design and to suit 8.5:1 static comp)
Pauter / MPS Forged long rods (75mm stroke)
Spec c black nitrided double cross drilled crank
Arp 625 rod bolts and main case bolts
King race bearings
Balance and blueprinted rotating assembly
JDM ej207 v8/9 T20 heads for single avcs (post facelift) or jdm v10 ej207 W20 heads for dual avcs (preface), both with enlarged combustion chambers to suit larger bore
Cosworth headgaskets
Arp 625+ headstuds or deschelle 14mm studs
Kelford cams to suit (272 or 280 degree with 11.5mm/12mm lift)
Twin scroll full race v band headers
Tial / garret twin scroll v band 0.82 cast stainless housing
Garrett gtx3576 / 3582 huffer 4" inlet or precision 6266/6466 dual bb or bw efr 8374
Dual 38/44mm wastegates
Blended Maf/ Speed density tune tuned to 35-36psi
A shot of heroin in the eyelid to sedate me while I enjoy earth shattering and reliable 450-480 awkw
Addicted to corn juice....

Billet blocks I reckon won't fare well in a street car with constant heat cycling

I reckon the above that I posted would be pretty stout. But then again is it worth it

Considering it probably wouldve only cost me another 5k to do all that from my setup to begin with, I reckon the returns would've been worth it. 5k for 100 more kw at the wheels plus greater reliability and torque wouldve been awesome

Still happy with my setup for what it is, but its always that "more" factor

Might be a silly question but what is the advantage of running dual wastgates?

Have to for twin scroll as each "scroll" has its own exhaust gas flow

You need separate gates for the flow as one could interfere with the other

ATP have a V Band twin scroll that allows an Tial MVR to fit and pump out through one outlet when WG is open, blocked/no mixing when WG is closed.

Cool - wonder what would happen though if wastegate is partially open or opening? No interference in pulses?

Also Matt - new housing is on so we need to catch up ;)
