TEINS + GT = A HAPPY TORPEDO

Postby TorpedoCreative » Mon Sep 01, 2008 10:56 pm

A big thanks to Phat Gt for the supply of the TEINs S-Techs. Got them fitted today and LOVE the new height. Not only that, but I can believe how much better it handles. It corners sooo much better now and the ride is not harsh at all. I will post up some pics as soon as I take them, but I had to post up how pleased I am :) :) :)

James

ps. my wife hasnt noticed yet (but I got home when it was dark) 8)

I wonder when/if she will notice?

Great to hear James! Everyone I know who's had the S.Tech's installed were happy with how the car handles afterwards, and very surprised at how comfortable the ride quality still is.

To the casual observer, the car will look slightly lower but it won't be to the point of catching anyone's attention. The car looks more aggressive but it's subtle enough to receive complaints of change. It's only when she tries to get in and out of the vehicle that she'll notice because it's more difficult. :D

Good work James!

Great aint they!

I was always tossing up whether to go the full coilover upgrade or just the tein springs. If i didnt have the bilsteins in mine then i would have gone the coilovers. The ride height is perfect and held up well during track day last week. No scrapping issues with a front sti lip and rear diffuser.

I have not had any rattles even after one yr.

The height looks ok now, wait till it settles. It will look and perform even better.

need to get the front windows tinted 8)

apart from that, Im just getting a corazon grille fixed and painted (thanks to Jim for the grille).

Im very tempted by a tune (after a downpipe) but renovations on the house and an imminent addition to the family are most probably going to be eat away any potential mod-dough :)

yep window tint is a good mod and I really like the look of the corazon grill too! Should look a treat when done. I weakened to the Phat man and ordered his dump pipe recently and expect it here next week.

Thanks Phil.

Mine isnt a spec B, so maybe the reason it sit quite level is because Im not on Billys. Also, when I bought the Spec B rims I put 40 profiles on them (rather than 45's which come standard) dont know how much difference it all makes, but yeah Im really happy with the final look and feel (even if Ive had to forgoe my parking spot underground at work because of the ramp :( )
