Nah I didnt. Not that those dont sound good, I pushed the button on the DBA's due to the level of quality they are and also because I dont have much time to look for anything else.

Update:

Got DBA T2 rotors and Intima SS Brake pads fitted all round yesterday. Man what a difference in braking power! Yet to report on the dust amount, but will once the brakes are all bedded in over the next few hundred km.

Might have a problem with my power steering pump though. Getting shudder when I turn the steering wheel. Had the fluid drained and replaced to reduce the level of whining noise the pump was making but yeah, the shuddering is a concern. Anyone care to shed some light on if the pump is knackered or what it could be? Hoping its a cheap fix.

DBA T2's are next on my list. I've had them before, really good rotor for the road. I'd probably just go the fronts. I think the standard rotors on the GT are a bit underwhelming.

Never heard of Intima SS pads though. Will be interested to see how it all goes over the next few weeks!

Thanks Chris. Initially I had only bought the T2's for the front with intention of just machining the rear rotors for the time being, but my mechanic said the rear rotors were too far gone for machining and needed full replacement. So I bit the bullet and got him to get the same as the front for the rear. The Intima SS pads I've heard a bit about from a few members here and online reviews and the reason I chose to swap pads is due to the level of dust that came from the previous Stoptech pads I bought about a year ago. I just got sick of it. The SS pads are for street use only and so are the T2 rotors, plus I dont track the car, so I thought they would work hand in hand for the type of driving I do.

I totally agree with the stock rotor setup with the GT's. Never was impressed by it. But now, this is a big upgrade in comparison. Probably nothing compared to Brembo's but for the street, I feel it's perfect and if/when I get new wheels, the brake rotors should look good too.

It's quite some time since Ive updated this thread.

Nothing much to add accept that I will be needing new tires soon. Tossing up a few options. Thinking of either getting excellent quality tyres as a straight over replacement, OR going for a wheel and tire package and settling for some mid range tires depending on budget.

Wheel choices I like are:
PDW Oasis 18x8 45 offset. Crystal Black
Image
Image

SPEEDY Carbine 18x8 45 offset. Black Suede or slick silver
Image
Image

ROH Azzuro 18x8 45 offset Matte Gunmetal
Image

The hardest part is now choosing. What would look better on my car? Please consider I will be looking to lower the car by about an inch too. I like the murdered look which seems to be popular but I also like class. So it needs to still look professional without it looking too gangsta. haha Should I stick with a silver rim or take my chances and go for the black rim on a gunmetal colored car?

Any thoughts?
Cheers

I like the ROH Azzuro the best, but if you don't want to go all gunmetal/grey colours the Speedy Carbine in silver would look great too

Thanks Daniel. I must admit I am leaning towards the Speedy Carbine's but possibly the black suade. Just not sure if it look any good against the color of my car.

The ROH's I agree look the best. Not sure if I would be over killing it with an all gunmetal theme.

The ROH's have dual PCD and are an OZ Ultraleggera copy: for those points alone I'd avoid them.

I like the concave on the Speedy's :good:

Liking the ROH, if budget could stretch to real deal oz racing I'd definitly go them.

I had murdered out on my car for a little while, I wasn't the biggest fan and now love the brilliant silver RPf1 I have now.

The contrast just defines the shape of the car better IMO.

Wheels are a big decision, took me ages haha!!!

I like the ROH ones too.

I flat out wouldn't buy wheels like the PDW ones with all those lug nut holes. Disgusting in my opinion.

Chris - Surely you'd be able to get some blanking plugs for the unused holes?

Jack - That's the dilemma I have. What color would look best on my car? IMHO I think both work, but I reckon the silver probably wins at this point in my mind by about 1% over the black as far as decisions are concerned. I'd love nothing but to get RE001's for the wheels. I've had those before and they are killer. But my budget may not allow for it. Might have to settle for some Kuhmo's. I'll get the best I can for the price.

Another plus for the black color is the fact it hides brake dust better.
Cheers
