Bypass Audio Safety Settings

Postby daveG » Thu Aug 07, 2014 6:09 pm

Can someone please help me...

I just want to be able to use all the features, change artist/album/genre etc when driving through the HU.

When my USB device is connected i can only do it when stopped.
Such a pain.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks

Are we talking about the stock head unit or a after market one? Sounds like what they do with DVD's, to bypass you just attach that wire to ground and if thinks it's always stationary.

That was the fix. Thanks so much for the tip anyway.
I fixed it last weekend. Quite easy once I found out how.

I'm not sure if you could do it with the my07. I couldn't see why not.
I just got a bit of 1mm cable and put a lug on it. You just have to connect it on anything that is earthed behind the head unit.

Good luck
