The engine change is legit and done properly with receipts and warranty. I honestly would never sell or do anything dodgy. But yeah, if you're interested I'm a phone call or SMS away... Worse case is I keep and drop in some cool parts I got sitting in the garage :D

As long as the engine is changed over properly by a good mechanic/engine builder, it's actually a good thing.

You get a fresh engine that will last you longer and any little niggles (aging gaskets, rusty wire connections etc) that were there before - should have been taken out as a matter of course.

Now, onto the matter of it being a beast.... It still needs a few more mods for that! :D it certainly looks the part though.

Yeah, I could have just done the head gaskets on the old engine, but it still would have been left with the bottom end and pistons etc that has over 170,000kms so I opted to pay a bit more and get a complete motor with low kms. I could have rebuilt it with forged stuff, but I don't have any big power plans for it nor did I want the expense and possible headaches (and heartaches) that seem to come with it. It's just a daily and I want it to be reliable for the next 200,000kms + that myself or a new owner would do.

Talking about it being a beast... I have all the parts ready to go on... But just holding off til one of my cars sell

Kontri, Dazzz's TBSTi is awesome and the guy doing the engine swap is a Subaru fanatic! And a qualified mechanic to boot. This month and last he's done a few engine swaps including straight swaps, like his own and Dazzz's, but also removal for builds and reinstalls post build

As an idea of how much I personally trust the guy doing (or who did do,, I can't remember if it's done yet...) the swap, I drove down from Brisbane to Sydney for him to swap out my turbo....now I'm in Sydney, I don't have to travel as far for a mechanic I trust lol
