Some inspirational reading.
Note this is a destroked 2.5L CD build, 75mm crank, long rods etc.

Nice Benny. Thanks for the link

I have spoken to Robin at Perfourmance Motorsport and my builder Nick at NRG and we are coming up with a new plan of attack.

Lets just say that RELIABILITY is the key word. So Robin and Nick both understand my needs and wants from the build. So there may be a few sacrifices to gain that i would say.

Ive also spoken to Kris and RSS and Troy at prospeed and numerous other companies to get as much Info as possible.

So lets just see what happens....... Im hoping its gunna be good.....

And in between speaking to all of them each time you've been speaking to some other Malaka :D

As discussed I reckon a closed deck 2.5 or 2.2 block would be fine for your goals

I myself am contemplating some new sorcery with some long rods

Hahaha yeh ive been speaking to some kok breath about Version 10 blocks.!! Hahaha :air_kiss:

There was honestly say about 4-6 options that Robin gave me, and i just asked for his honest, tested and proven answer.

He told me that it would take a MONTH for his stuff tho. Plus the blueprinting, balancing and reassemble and refit ....

So probably looking at 6weeks at this stage.!! CRAP!

Sooooooooo BIG Change

Car is being parted out and 2nd hand good condition motor will go in and i will trade the car in.

Ive had some BIG conversations to the builders and another Malaka on this forum ( DR i love you ) and it really is spend another $10k MIN and do it properly.

So i just cant cost justify 20k in 4months for no extra power or anything. And im just over fucking stupid bloody subarus.

So let the part out begin.

You're doing the right thing Dan

Will be hard initially but you will get over it

Plus when you're ready again, but a prefacelift or a grb aus spec Sti and swap in a v10 with 6 speed and enjoy

It just isn't worth it for what you want for now

Solid decision, better to quit while you're ahead :)

Any clues as to what the next car is going to be? (go 3L+ engine :D)

Thanks Mick.... and as usual your advice is greatly appreciated.

And Alexei ive been given a few criteria from the wife.

New or ex demo style car, $35K max. We are selling our house and i need to go back to a reliable cheap car.

So i dont think i will be getting anything too exciting.

BRZ86. I'm in the process of developing a drive-in/drive-out supercharger kit that comes with engineer cert for them.

Newish car, reliable, 35k and will go sideways without snapping driveshafts. Think about it :)

That's what I said! But I think it needs to be able to handle some family duties as well.

if my engine pops id probably do the same thing! don't think its worth spending so much money on one of these when ou can get a ford turbo doing 300rwkw on stock internals for around 3k... tune, cooler exhaust..

Dan? you are making the right decision....As said earlier in my posts....this is the wrong car to acheive what you wanted...

I'm sure when the time comes the right car will fall into your hands and with lessons learnt will make that car a absolute dark weapon....
