Sweet! :) Obviously still a bit rough, but progress is progress.

And I didn't know about the Lathewerks ones, they look good! But I'd prefer one with a hole for the LED.

Interesting. I thought the sides would be a bit more flush with a textured grip finish.
Cheers

I'm after style and substance for value - it's nothing like the original... :)

I'm more hoping you'll like it. ;)
Unboxing the prova version is kinda underwhelming.
It's so light and dainty... I paid $100 for THAT???
At least it looks good, but "ours" will look and feel even better.

Concept looking good. Not really sure how it converts to the real thing, but better than nothing!

3d printer crapped out and the modeller insists on printing a proto for some reason

Ben, is the crown of the dial (the wider part at the top) going to have those flat spots? Or is that part of the protoyping?
I'm excited for it either way :) .

It's meant to have a nice flowing curve of course :)
A bit like a lathe dial...

Cool :). But I mainly meant the flat spots on the edges:

Nice one :) I'm thinking a little deeper, you?

Mark would have made 50 by hand and have moved on by now :)

Ah, so u mean the flat spots are going to be flowing curves? I understood it as the top having concave curve.

Uhm, hard to tell at this stage what will look best. Maybe that's just my lack of imagination :) . Or coz I don't really know what your planned design will be. It'd be easy to see on a 3D drawing (eg CAD drawing), but a bit hard on a rough 3D printed model.

Just got rendered pics. I like the design I specced but the 3D guy wants to submit his own plainer design :)
