Hi Grant
Just read your whole thread plus one or to others that have gone the sc route. I'm doing my sc install on 27th of this month here in the uk. Great to know what can be achieved from a diy install. Your car looks and sounds great. Never going to be able to challenge you guys on numbers as we have no E85 in the uk.

Will keep watching your thread with interest.

No I haven't done this and thanx for the heads up, but as I said above when the BOV outlet is blocked the engine is getting full boost, so more than likely an issue
with the valve bleeding when plumbed to the air cleaner assembly.

Currently have the adjustment set 3 full turns back from tight. I will tighten it some more and c if that makes a difference, but im doubtful.

Other thing we have considered is that the immense vacuum generated by the SC inlet is causing vacuum up the BOV retunr line and generating a low pressure region allowing the BOV piston to creep open

Thanx Richard and yes its been a fun journey so far for diy bolt on power that can be put back to stock in a couple of hours.

3rspecb's car has solid power on 98 fuel, around 240 kwatw but hes running the WTA I/Cooled system.

GL with ur install, you can look forward to nice power/torque gains with a quality, safe tune. BTW who is ur tuner.

Matt, Ben & Tim, hey lads

The car is being driven conservatively atm, ive now done a bit over 3000kms on E85 and im impatiently waiting on oil analysis test results, so being super cautious.

A couple of things have changed of late, so I actually think im down on power a little.

The BOV is an ongoing issue - mite have to upgrade here, local E85 is varying down to E70 - correct Matt, and ive changed rear mufflers to quieten it down.

BTW Ben thanx for the offer, Matt has another one also and Gino has suggested an upgrade - I need to make a decision here.

The muffs are Tcp's V2, and they are a lot quieter maybe too much. Matt you'll have to check the flow when we do a run, log etc soon.

When I get the green light after the Oil testing ill get another road tune/check in with Matt and see where we are at.

Thanks , using Matt as my tuner, I will also be running the WTA and we have 99RON fuel here so if I can achieve 240kwatw I would be a very happy man.

Hope your oil tests come back ok, and you sort the bov issue out. Look forward to what happens next.

Awesome, that's a very nice setup you will have :) . I will be very keen to see ur end results.

Keep in mind ur power figures are also dependant on S/C pulley sizing. Gino & I are both running 58mm pulleys.

GL and keep us informed.

Hey all, haven't been on for a while so a bit of an update.

Had a tune update with Matt, a bit more top end was gained, not that it needed it lol. Right now with the 2-4*C nites the mid - top end pull is quiet alarming :D.

Japan parts order had arrived when I got back from overseas, a couple of practical upgrades as well as a bit of bling factor  .

Laile - rear diff support, radiator cooling panel and mc stopper. Sti battery holder and cusco steering rack brace.

Installed new fuel filter, all went well considering its such a pita of a job.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention earlier my 2,600 kms E85 oil analysis came back all good with no contaminents and wear levels being within acceptable limits for 1st
sample.Recorded viscosity was still SAE 5W30, so pretty happy with this 1st diagnosis. At 2600 I dumped and added a fresh 2.5lt and ran till 4800 kms where I took another sample, ran a flush and did oil n filter change. Sticking with Penrite 10 ths Racing 5 5W30. No oil consumption or addition from ethanol/water retention
in this period. :)

Changed out front swaybar from cusco 23mm back to stock and had fitted 4 new GY Eagle F1 A2's with a new alignment. Its so much better now when pushing hard,
dry grip is superb, turn in at speed great and an added bonus is the billies/s-techs feel softer now with the F1's. Them farked old Pirelli rosso's must have been hard.
Under very hard braking, feedback from the F1's is also awesome, with precise wheel work I can now induce slight oversteer which I like instead of the reverse.
Hasn't rained yet, ill update when it does.
New F1 A2's are 225 / 40 /18's. Had to get the rear guards rolled with +42 wheels. Kevin from Precision Guard Rolling on the Goldie did a nice job of those. 93,500kms

Hopefully the shockworks coilovers will be the last piece of the suspension puzzle. Ill post a few pics when time allows. :D
