We've all been (or live) there. Don't worry you'll get there in the end. :D
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Nah i think in my head i saw a “flash successful” but it actually read “it didn’t fucking work”. Then i keyed off and BAM, no go.
Valuable lesson learnt.

It can F up for so many reasons:
Crappy cable
Weak USB port
Bad/loose connection
Flat battery
Incorrect software versions and or drivers combo...
Inattention.

I had a hot reflash fail recently, deep breath, swapped USB ports to the port closest to the ext power plug on the eeePC*, test reflash, reflash, success, relief!!!

*Also try the shortest fattest newest (least munted) USB cable possible...
Not too short that you'll rip it out by accident mid reflash...

Last time it happened before that, I panicked, keyed off and bricked.
Let's say experience count$$$ :)

LOVE IT! especially use of adjectives.

I have dwindled in selling 'extra long' USB cables for micro USB (Android Phones), and the quality is just not there.
Anything with a lower AWG will be good, and if you can find one with a ferrite core, you're in super business.

Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3ft-USB-2-0-A-M ... 4d08af37ff

BBB ecu flash was complaining that the definitions weren't up to date- even though I downloaded the latest ones from romraider about 3 times to make sure

This COULD be the reason.

Ecu was sent to Entra this morning. Should have it back by Thursday ish.
Lucky I catch the bus to uni otherwise id be having a shit time.

The bit I'm most disappointed about was not being able to try matts 4th revision.
The car has been driving awesome!
