Time for an update

Car is running .....yey. Farking finally

Idling like its got MASSIVE cams (which it doesn't) because the idle is at 450\500rpm. Lol

The dash is lit up like a Xmas tree with CEL's. I don't have any pollution gear on it any more because of the heads\block. So that has to be fixed.

And its got a small leak on the turbo coolant hose, which will be sorted.

Will be picking it up tomorrow arvo and enjoying my car again.

So here is the NEW spec of the motor

Early (circa mid 90's ) NA 2.5L block with Darton sleeves

2013 heat treated and nitrided crank

ACL race bearings

Tomei Rods

CP big bore 100.5mm pistons.

Cosworth head gaskets

ARP Custom age 625 head studs.

2.0L 04\05 Sti heads. Stock ports

Kelford 264/260 cams

Kelford Titanium valve springs and retainers

11mm Sti oil pump

Killer B oil pickup

New water pump, thermostat, gaskets etc etc.

TGV's Deleted.

Perrin Lightweight crank pulley.

All the EGR and pollution gear has been removed due to the heads and block not accepting it, and thus the CEL's .

Think that is it!!!

Did you get the Sti 04 heads (audm ej207) or the 04 wrx heads (audm 2003-2005 ej205)?

The Sti audm ej207 heads have small ports. The 04 wrx ej205 avcs heads are big port

Yes I know counter intuitive but that's what Subaru Australia released :roll:

mmmmmmmhhhhhh I dunno, I'm guessing the sti 04/05 heads as its off a smashed Sti Nick has that had a 'built' motor from autotech ......

aaawww so I guess have the small ports. Why would they put small ports on the Sti and big ports on the wrx??

I'm guessing the block would have ej207/5 on it yeh??

Soooooooo. I had some stuff painted to "bling up" the engine bay.

I must say I REALLY love the outcome.

I will get some better pics of it completed in the engine bay. And there is more to come.... when I find the time.

The colour in the day is more like the last pic. But this is THE SAME colour on everything.
