I know theyre DBA T3's... I cant remember what DBA number they are.

I cant remeber the exact price, but it was around $600 for all 4 rotors.

Edit** theyre DBA4000 T3 club spec.

4000's are T3.

They do a T2 in street series.

Now that the pads are starting to bed in I can really feel a big improvement... not sure if thats the rotors, probably just good pads. Either way im very happy with it.

It'll be the pads. Under normal driving, there will be no difference between slotted or plain rotors.

Been a while since my last update... after resisting as long as i could, ive finally had enough of the McIntosh system and am upgrading it completely.
I seem to get a new piece of the stereo in the mail every day lately... makes coming home from work even more exciting than just being stoked to get the hell out of work for the day!

Got my speakers, fascia and head unit so far this week... you can also see in the picture the sway bars i still havent put on my car... they havent left the spare room (junk room) in 2 months

In other news, ive been doing a lot of research on the forum regarding replacement 8" subs for the McIntosh sub. Almost all of the threads on here are about replacing the sedan sub which has a lot more room to play with, or about making sub boxes for 10" or 12" subs. So firstly ive included a photo of the space behind the factory sub in a wagon for those with wagons considering the upgrade. Its about 8.5cm deep, so you cant fit a full depth 8" sub.

I was presuming id need a free air sub in the wagon as the sedans use a free air sub, but after pulling the stock sub out i noticed that the cavity behind the sub is all but a sealed box. So im going to dynamat the entire cavity space and add a double layer of dynamat over the small gaps to make it a completely sealed box. I estimate the box will have a volume of around 10-12L. Which is the perfect amount for slimline subs in a sealed box.

So anyway, watch this space if youre interested in doing the same. :D

Interesting info about the sub.
IIRC there's a how-to (EDIT) on LGT about adding a port to the wagon sub enclosure to give the stock sub a little more mid and low extension.
Easy enough to try both techniques I guess.

Some very nice new parts there Adam.

For the speaker upgrades, are you removing all four from the front doors then replacing with that two way speaker? Or are they for the rears??

Interested to hear your feedback and to see your set up on the door speakers once installed, as eventually I'll be doing the upgrade :)

Im removing the McIntosh system completely. So putting splits in the front doors and 2 ways in the rear doors. Running everything off a 5 channel amp... 5th channel for the sub. I had a similar set up in my last liberty and it was brilliant so I couldn't get that previous set up out of my head which is why I couldn't resist any longer

Without stretching the truth, a semi good after market stereo wouod be at least twice as good as the McIntosh. So you wont be disappointed.

Yeah after having the Lib a while now I'm beginning to notice the quality. I've never really been huge into car audio, but I had an E30 BMW with JBL speakers (non-amplified) all around + sub and even though that was a pretty impressive system, I don't think the McIntosh is far behind, if not on par. That said, I'm comparing a wagon to a rag top, of course there'll be quality difference.

But anyway, an upgrade is probably on the cards for me...eventually!
