WTB: Various 3.0RB items

Postby lokyb » Sun Oct 20, 2013 8:13 pm

Hey guys I'm looking for a few different things for my 2004 3.0RB Manual
-Lowered King springs or Coilovers to suit
-Catback exhaust system or Mufflers to suit
- Front and Rear sway bays

If anybody has/knows of anybody with any of these a response would be great!

The standard sway bars on the Spec B Sedan are 21mm diameter front and 17.5mm rear
The wagons have the same front and 19mm rear.

My son's MY09 standard 2.5 Wagon also has 19mm rear.

Why don't you visit a wreckers and look for the rear bar from a Gen4 facelift wagon (not outback)
You could get an improved bar for the sedan cheap?

Lots of luck

I have a project on the boil to make a set of 22mm adjustable front and rear bars for my Spec-B Wagon.
I have paid for the Cr-Moly 4140 grade 22mm bar and pick it up Monday.
I have the heat treatment works lined up already.

The bill so far for the bar and heat treat will be $220.00 including GST.
I will keep you guys informed how I go.
Plan to have them on the car by Christmas.
Small Christmas present for Robbie my 3.0R-B

I assume you’re looking for upgraded sway bars not just stock ones.
No point going adjustable because you’ll never change it from stiff- although whiteline only make the front 22mm sway bars in adj.
Retail for the front is $265, and the rear is like $180 i think.

Its recommended that you get heavy duty mounts for the rear, ($100 for Cusco HD mounts from Garage 88).
You should also get new endlinks for front and rear eventually as well.

Go to a Whiteline dealer and see if they can hook you up with it for a little discount. They rarely come up second hand.
