1999 clarion CD player Head unit

Hello,
I have the factory CD player Clarion drx6275gv in my outback.


I would like to use the CD charger plug as an Aux input


I found this page showing how to build a cable (Thanks catnip67)

I was wondering if anybody here had done that or, easier, had tried any plug and play solution such as this one (made for Kenwood...)

I have something strange and annoying with this unit.
to switch on and off, you are supposed to use the volume button.
On my unit, pressing the volume button will do nothing, to switch off, you need to press the eject button.

With the down side effect that you cannot eject the CD...

Any idea...
