Not sure I've seen that colour combo before, not as terrible as I would've thought :)

215 is a little skinny though ;) I'd probably go 235 or 245 if it clears the strut

Good looking rim. What are they? Needs a centre cap.

Seems to fit within the guard very well for 8.5" width. How's the clearance to the strut?

Any more pics?
Michael.

Thanks mate, theyre ROTA's lol, i don't like centre caps  they fit perfect everywhere and a finger width clearance from rear strut.

putting coilovers soon i don't think they'll need rolling, we'll see :)

apparently this rim isn't made in this color but someone placed a special order with a stolen credit card... lucky me.

im gunna stick with 215 cause it looks pretty cool, maybe 225 one day after coilovers if it fits. ill take better photo's later

I had 235s on my 8.5s and I though that was as small as you'd want. Those 8.5 Rotas actually measure at 9.0. Colour looks good though. Reminds me of 99 GC8 two door WRXs.

Plus by stretching the tyre your increasing the sidewall strength by eliminating any slack in the sidewall, turn in is improved. not to mention im going for this

235 40 18 is a great fit on 8.5

Did turn in change from my 225 tyres, it actually improved going to the 235......more tyre in contact with the road ....

They're only 215's because i bought them originally for the OEM rims but even when its time to change i won't go to 235. I still want a bit of stretch. plus it looks like when i put coilovers 235's would need guard rolling.

Do it once, do it properly.

235s on 8.5" and get your guards rolled.

I never want to roll guards again, 235's not worth the headache. Anyway back to the rims...

I would say guard rolling is lass hassle than running improperly fitting tyres.

What is the hard part about guard rolling?
